Important information

What the plan does not cover, the limits on what it does, and how long it runs for. Worth reading before you apply, so there are no surprises later. That is the total you pay. It includes VAT.

  • The plan runs for a minimum term of 12 months.
  • It then renews automatically for a further 12 months unless you cancel in writing before the renewal date. You also have 30 days at the start of each renewed term to cancel it.
  • Parts and materials are not included.
  • Evening and weekend call-outs are not included, and are charged at our standard rates.
  • The three weekday visits a year each include up to one hour of labour, and unused visits do not roll over.
  • Pre-existing faults are not covered, and cover is subject to availability and fair usage.

If a job falls outside the plan we will tell you before we start and quote for it separately. You are never charged for something you have not agreed to. The full detail is in the Home Care Plan terms and conditions.

Why proactive maintenance matters

  • Catch issues early

An annual service is the point at which a worn part is spotted while it is still a part, rather than in January when the heating has stopped.

  • Keep the paperwork straight

Most boiler warranties require an annual service by a Gas Safe registered engineer to stay valid. The plan includes one, and the certificate that proves it.

  • Spread the cost

A service, a couple of small repairs and a call-out in the same year add up. The plan turns that into one predictable monthly amount.

Apply for the plan

There is no online sign up and no payment is taken on this page. Every application is read by us, because the plan only makes sense for some properties and we would rather say so upfront than take a monthly payment for cover you cannot use.

  1. You send the application

A few questions about the property and the boiler. It takes about two minutes.

  2. We review it and get in touch

Usually within one working day. We check we cover your address, go through what the plan does and does not include, and confirm the full terms with you.

  3. You decide

The plan starts only once you have said yes and we have agreed a start date. Applying commits you to nothing.

Before you apply

The plan has a 12 month minimum term and renews automatically unless you cancel. Everything it covers, everything it does not, and how to cancel are set out in full.

About you

We need a phone number as well as an email for this one, because we talk every applicant through the plan before it starts.

The address the plan would cover. A postcode on its own is enough at this stage.
About your heating

All optional. Answer what you know and leave the rest, it just saves us a phone call. If you are not sure, that is a perfectly normal answer.

For example: Worcester Greenstar, about eight years old. The make is usually on the front panel.
