After a very bad dishonest experience with a 24 hr. Call out service guy who was trying to scam me the previous day, got in touch with Lee and what a contrast! The previous day I was told that I will need a new boiler but Lee found that all it needs is a replacement valve and nothing else was wrong with the boiler and he got it working in no time. I am pleased that I have now found a honest and efficient plumber and will be using him again for all plumbing problems.

01273 110667Is this an emergency?
Some boiler problems need urgent attention, others can safely wait for a scheduled repair.
Genuine emergencies
- Total loss of heating or hot water in cold weather
- A suspected gas leak
- Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning
- Visible leaks or water damage from the boiler or pipework
Can usually wait for a scheduled repair
- A single radiator not heating up
- A minor drop in boiler pressure
- Unusual but intermittent noises
- Boiler working, but running less efficiently than usual
Not sure how urgent yours is?
Describe what it is doing and we will tell you whether it can wait until morning.
Gas safety and carbon monoxide
Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause headaches, nausea, breathlessness, dizziness, and in serious cases collapse or loss of consciousness.
It is often mistaken for flu or food poisoning. Two signs that point to carbon monoxide rather than a normal illness: your symptoms ease off when you are away from the property, and other people or pets in the house feel unwell at the same time.
If you suspect carbon monoxide, act immediately:
- Open doors and windows to ventilate the property.
- Leave the property and get everyone, including pets, outside.
- Seek medical help straight away.
- Do not use gas appliances again until a Gas Safe registered engineer has inspected them.
If you suspect a gas leak, turn off your gas supply at the meter if it is safe to do so, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately.
What to do while you wait
- Check your boiler’s pressure gauge; the normal range is usually between 1 and 2 bar.
- Do not attempt complex repairs yourself; only a Gas Safe registered engineer should work on the boiler.
- Keep warm safely with extra layers and blankets. Avoid unsafe alternative heating, such as portable gas or charcoal heaters indoors, which can produce carbon monoxide.
